What Do Bed Bugs Look Like

Many people have heard of bed bugs, but have never actually seen them. What do bed bugs look like? Bed bugs have a flat body, which is not much bigger than an apple seed. Adult bed bugs have a brown color until they consume blood. At this point, their color becomes more of a brownish red. It is that nice rosy glow of after dinner. If you are asking yourself, what bed bugs look like, they are not all brown to brownish red. The non-adults, called nymphs are very small. They are not much bigger than a pinhead. The color of these bed bugs is a white or gold until they begin to feed. They tend to be about the color of an ordinary mattress. During the nymph stage, bedbugs can be very difficult to see.
